As a leader in the concrete industry Bilco Corporation has been fine-tuning its manufacturing processes since their inception in 1955 – not just to improve the quality and value of Bilco products, but also to minimize the company’s impact on the environment.
“Our concrete brick, for example, is an attractive green alternative to clay brick,” said Randy Colen, Bilco’s president. “In addition to having superior strength and performance characteristics, the manufacturing process uses significantly less energy than clay brick manufacturing requires.”
Bilco’s engineers and plant management staff have also found ways to conserve resources by recycling water, raw materials and thermal energy.
“The bottom line is we’re able to provide a high-quality, sustainable line of products to our customers while keeping our environmental footprint at a minimum,” said Colen.
