Cleaning Instructions

Bilco Brick are manufactured to meet the applicable ASTM standards. Any complaint about size, color chippage or distortion cannot be considered after the bricks are laid in the wall. If there is any question concerning quality of appearance of these bricks, contact a Bilco Brick representative before laying the bricks.

Bilco Brick samples are intended to represent fairly the average color and quality of this product. However variations in shade of color are inherent in manufactured cement products, and Bilco makes no warranty with regard to conformity of shipments to the shade of color represented by such samples. When laying Bilco Brick, work from several cubes at one time so as to distribute colors more evenly throughout the wall.

Before cleaning bricks, test a sample of the bricks to be sure the results are satisfactory.

WARNING: Dusts generated from dry sawing, grinding, or drilling bricks may contain silica and may be a potential health hazard. Please review Bilco’s SDS for the proper garments and/or equipment to control exposure to brick dust. Wet sawing of bricks is recommended.

DO NOT USE ACID FOR CLEANING BRICKS!

Chemical cleaners of any kind may change the appearance of the product. Once the brick are laid in the wall, wait until the mortar partly hardens (thumb-print hard), then water the wall and use a soft bristle brush to remove any excess mortar.
